Difference

First glances don’t really show the difference, but biting into the dark, rich-looking chocolate cake highlights the obvious and immediate distinction.

My wife was teaching our daughter how to cook our most famous and well-celebrated chocolate cake. With great precision, expert hands and fine ingredients, the directions were followed impeccably.

Having seen the mixture stirred, poured into the bowls, and baked for the same time and heat, you would expect the same end product. On the cooling trays the cakes looked the same. With my daughter’s fine dexterity the icing looked like the finishing touch you would expect on this culinary delight.

But it was in the tasting, the responsibility of the males of this home, that the final decision was made regarding the quality of the end product. My wife’s cake was far more moist and edible!

Religion can be the same. It can look as good, be prepared just the same, but it is in the tasting that the differences show up. Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the major difference between religion, man’s creation, and being a true Christian! It’s not what you do, but rather who you know!

“I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home forgiven! For the proud shall be humbled, but the humble shall be honoured.” Luke 18:14

TODAY, taste the difference… give your life to Jesus!
