My daughter is taking her driving test today. We've spent the morning trying to decide which direction you should turn your wheels if you park on an incline. Then we got into the discussion about whether you should come to a full and complete stop behind the stop sign, stop at the intersection, or both. All I could tell her was that I was pretty sure it wasn't "stop IN the intersection." I did make sure I gave her this sweet piece of driving advice: never go faster than the car directly in front of you.

The Bible gives us a "stop sign" in Romans 14:13 when it tells us to "stop passing judgment on one another." I love the next part. It says "Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way," (NIV). We're supposed to stop where we're supposed to stop--stop passing judgment. And we're supposed to make sure we DON'T stop fellow believers by putting up those pharisaical kinds of road blocks. When we get those mixed up, it drives us all crazy.

Speaking of driving us crazy, you realize that if Allie stops wherever in the world she's supposed to stop and she passes her test, then we're going to have SIX drivers in this household? We can actually create our own traffic jam.
