Where is the King?

horizontal rule

I was watching people at the hospital working, running here and there;

But I felt no love for God at all, no one seemed to care.

He was totally being ignored and it made me start to cry;

I wanted to stand up and shout... hey people, it was for your sins He died!

Where is The King... He should rein supreme in this place;

With it's sick and it's dying, they need His amazing grace.

If ever there was a time to call on God, that time is right here;

This is not the place to ignore Him... with death ever so near.

What if The King came for you now... what would you say?

Would you tell Him you were busy working and He was getting in your way?

People wake up, in God's love you can abide;

Who do you think holds you up against the changing tide?

Where is The King... does He even cross your mind?

Are you aiming to be one of those that the Master leaves behind?

Don't be so busy that you let time pass you by;

For the day will come, when The King splits that Eastern sky.

I can not see or feel the love for God at all in this place;

No matter where I look... He is not shining on anyone's face.

People, why can't you see... He arose after He died;

Can't you feel God's presence... He's here... He's alive.

Where is The King... this is where He is needed the most;

Let Christ The Son heal you, in the name of The Holy Ghost.

I feel souls crying out... a lot of them seem so confused;

Begging for God's grace and mercy, before it's too late to choose.

Doctors and nurses working on someone, doing everything down to the letter;

Never calling on God at all... thinking they can do it so much better.

Take your bows... accept the thanks... but you will never understand;

It wasn't you who healed that body, it was done by The King's almighty hand.

Where is The King... where can He be;
I closed my eyes and there He was... He was inside me!

I should have known I was not alone in this place, for The King was standing by;

He whispered His undying love to me, as He dried the tears from my eyes.  Amen
