The Lying Spirit
Dear Friends,
There is power in the name of Jesus!
Last evening as I slept, I was awoke by the Spirit and told
to go and immediately see a dear friend of mine.
I arrived to find my friend possessed of a foul, lying
spirit who was trying to convince her to end her life.
I immediately began to pray and rebuke the evil spirit. I
prayed as hard and as fervently as I have ever prayed. The
only word that would form off of my tongue was "Jesus". I
said over and over, "Jesus, Jesus" until I felt the evil
presence disappear.
The room was immediately filled with the sweet presence of
the Holy Spirit.
We prayed together for quite awhile afterwards, praising
Jesus over and over, reminding Satan that he is not welcome
and that he is forbidden in the name of Jesus to ever
return.
God is good my friends! This is my one and only experience
with casting out an evil spirit. Somehow, I thought it would
be different. I pictured myself standing up and demanding in
the name of Jesus that the spirit leave. In reality, all I
could say was "Jesus, Jesus". And this was more than enough.
He is more than enough! He is the El Shaddai!
Praise Jesus, all authority in heaven and earth has been
given to you. Forever we praise and worship you!
