Hi, I wrote you for prayer some time back in regards to my children. My son,
Todd had married a girl that wasn't a Christian & informed me he was no longer a
Christian.
I recently went to visit them on the west coast & I am happy to say that I could
see that the Holy Spirit has been working on my daughter-in-law's (Rhonda's)
heart. When I arrived she was carrying a book with her & reading it every chance
she got & sharing things from it with my son. I feared it was a book on New Age
& despised even looking at the cover.
After a few days, I picked up the book & to my delight I saw it was published by
Pacific Press. The title is "Searching for a God to Love," by Chris Blake. I
really couldn't have found a better book for witnessing to a non-believer. I
praise God for the person that gave her this book.
While I was there I was telling her about several books I recently read. One
being, "True Believer," in which she showed a lot of interest in & asked me if
she could borrow it when I finish it. I told her that I had already finished it
but had loaned it to a friend that I work with, but as soon as it was returned I
would send it to her.
Instead, I went to visit my Aunt & Uncle near Loma Linda & asked them to take me
to the ABC to purchase this book for her. When the kids came to join me at my
Aunt's home I gave her the book & she was so touched that I had went out of my
way to purchase it for her that she hugged & kissed me for doing so. I want to
give all the praise & glory to the Father, Son & the Holy Spirit for this
wonderful miracle & blessing.
I had also asked for prayer for my daughter, Tosha & her fiancée, Jason. They
are now doing Doug Batchelor's bible studies. Please continue to keep them in
your prayers that they will commit to the Lord & be baptized. I also ask for
prayer for myself. I have a strong desire to serve the Lord in missionary work.
I haven't a clue about how to reach out to do this. I ask for God to lead in my
life & that I will recognize His call & will follow where ever He leads me.
Please continue to keep my husband, Joe, in your prayers. He is doing a
wonderful ministry while in prison. In fact, we recently had 3 baptisms in the
prison where he resides & leads out in a SDA bible study, each week, there.
Please pray that the Lord will make a way for him to be able to call me on a
800#, because with the present situation we can not afford more than a 15 min.
call per week, for a charge of more than $15.00. This is very difficult since we
can't afford for me to visit him more than once a year.
Thank you for your continued prayers, may God bless your ministry. Peace,
Prayers & Love in Christ.
