On the 29th of December, my entire family plus my
husband's nephew, were on our way back from visiting my mother in-law, who was
spending some time with my brother in-law. The traffic was heavy and slow but
for some strange reason, my husband, for an instant maintained an unusual space
in front of him and just suddenly, a bus, fully loaded with passengers, coming
in the opposite direction swerved right in front of us into that space in front
of us and rested there. The Shaft was damaged and the Bus could not move again.
The Car behind us was so close to ours that there was not place to reverse to.
If my husband had not maintained that space in front, the Bus would have rammed
into us and caused serious damage, if not death, to passengers in both vehicles.
It was clear to all of us that it was a miracle. We praised and thanked God for
delivering us.
The lesson for me is this; I am in the habit of
telling my husband to move and maintain a standard space while driving whenever
he leaves wide room ahead and on such occasions he admonishes me to be patient.
The incident of that day has taught me to submit to my husband, who is my head,
even in circumstances I perceive him as slow. However, I must remember to uphold
him in prayers. My husband loves and respects God and I know that God orders his
steps. May God help me to submit to my husband in everything, in obedient to
Him. Amen.
