"And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light." (Gen 1:3, NIV2)
How many times don't we go through life hoping for the light to shine through?
Left to our own devices, we hardly have a chance. We worry and worry and worry
even more, without any positive results. No wonder Jesus asked us: "Who of you
by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very
little thing, why do you worry about the rest?" (Luke 12:26, NIV2)
In all truth, worrying is for atheists, not for those who focus on the reality
of mankind: our Father in Heaven Himself! When we leave it all in God's hands
and trust solely in Him, His light will come through, guaranteed!
Last January I was facing a dilemma. Somehow a rash appeared on the right side
of my face as well as on my right arm. At first I ignored it, but as it
continued to spread and began to itch, I had no choice but to contact my doctor.
That Friday I called for an appointment, but although I called twice, there was
no answer. Strange . . .
That's when it occurred to me that I should go to my Father first before getting
human advice, even if it was from professionals! Why do I so quickly forget
this! God's message was quite encouraging: "You will have a breakthrough during
the weekend!" Wow! He is way faster to help me with my problems than any human I
know!
That night, as usual when I went to bed, I poured some Lavender drops on my
pillow. That's when I heard vividly my Father telling me: "Stop! The cause of your
affliction is in your hand!"
At first I was puzzled. I had been using lavender drops for over a year without
any problem. Then it dawned on me that I did, indeed, sleep with the right side
of my face on the very drops I poured over my pillow. And as I often put my
right arm under the right side of my face, my right arm also had contact with
those innocent-looking lavender drops. Over time I had become allergic to them,
and that's how the rash appeared!
I stopped using those drops that night, and the rash that had been worsening
daily began to disappear gradually. Praise God, my healer!
On my yearly visit to the doctor, I mentioned my ordeal with the lavender. She
looked at me and said that if I had contacted her about that rash, she would had
never been able to find the source of my affliction. Why worry when God can
shine His light on our trials and tribulations? His Light will reveal way more
than healing, but we need to hunger for His enlightment.
"What's that spot on your face?"
It's up to you to decide where to seek help.
