The Hand

Bequeathed to mankind, the hand bore the scorn and derision.
Sin was allowed to cause grave affliction.
As his blood ran on the ground, there came a new vision.
All sins were erased, just a fiction.

The hand was penetrated with great pain and anguish.
He bore his cross in his robes tattered and torn.
Knowing he faced this, his loving heart didn't languish.
Beaten and spat upon The Savior endured such scorn.

His hands were forever marred by the cruelty of man's seeing.
Their disbelief led him to wear a crown of thorns with ridicule.
Nailed to the cross his blood stained the ground with spiritual cleansing.
Parched lips were tortured with bittered liquid to be cruel.

His hand holds all man for death couldn't take him away.
He still bears our sins, carrying us through the rugged trail.
Holding us up when our life seems hopeless, only a dismay.
With his grace we can't ever fail

Bequeathed to mankind, the hand bore the scorn and derision.
Sin was allowed to cause grave affliction.
As his blood ran on the ground, there came a new vision.
All sins were erased, just a fiction.
