Over the Dawn

My tearful eyes gaze over the horizon.
There my mind sees a cherished vision.

Fever has quaked my lips, deep furrows.
Chills wrack my body, pain is intense, deep fear burrows.

An ashen face gazes in the mirror, no recognition anymore.
Memories of a healthy time, feeling very poor.

Prayers are so heartfelt, knowing it will change.
Faith is a rainbow, heaven is grace's range.

Looking down at receding muscles, knowing your cure is just over the dawn.
Though you're ailing,  beyond waiting is a newborn fawn.

My tearful eyes gaze over the horizon.
There my mind sees a cherished vision.

Over the dawn lies this healing of complete.
I'll believe till there I take my seat.
