Over the years God has been so gracious to allow me insight regarding aspects of
a deeper walk with Him. Often times He has awakened me around 3 ‘oclock in the
morning to talk with me, and hopefully I can share some of these times with you
as we visit together.
I remember distinctly the first time this happened, and to me it was a startling
revelation. I shall never forget it! As I woke up, and He began to speak, I
became wide-eyed, fully aware that we were alone, even though Barb, my wife, lay
sleeping beside me. Piercing the darkness of the night, the only ray or glimmer
of light was from the small night light down the hallway from our bedroom. Yet,
in the solitary darkness, I sensed the awesome presence of God! He cleared my
mind with this startling statement: “RALEIGH, MY SON, I WANT YOU TO TELL MY
CHILDREN, SATAN IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM!” It struck me with such force that my mind
became clear as crystal clear water, or the noonday sun without a cloud in the
sky.
My immediate response was, “WHAT DO YOU MEAN, SA TAN IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM?” His
answer was to the point, and very revealing. “HOW CAN ANYONE DEFEATED AT CALVARY
BE A PROBLEM” Then He continued; “I WANT YOU TO TELL THEM; I AM THEIR PROBLEM
BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT TRUST ME IN THEIR DARKEST HOUR.” What God was telling me
was the major difficulty, and problem facing His children today is not a
defeated enemy, but rather having a relationship with the very one who created
all things by the Word of His power! Trusting Him in the darkest moments of your
trials, your testings, your difficulties, and pressing circumstances! Satan
knows he has no more influence over you than what he can muster up through
deception! If he can get you out of God’s Word, and into his lies and
half-truths, meditating them, then he will create unbelief in your heart, and
you will begin to doubt God’s ability and desire to PROVIDE FOR YOU!!! To show
God’s concern about this very thing, Jesus said, in Luke 18: 1,8. “AND HE SPOKE
A PARABLE UNTO THEM TO THIS END, THAT MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY AND NOT TO FAINT
(8). NEVERTHELESS, WHEN THE SON OF MAN COMETH SHALL HE FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH?”
Satan knows if he can plant seed thoughts of doubt in your mind, question marks
of unbelief and unsettled opinions about GOD’S FAITHFULNESS, and HIS WILLINGNESS
TO PROVIDE FOR YOU, then it won’t be long before he can forecast your defeat,
your outcome, and your destruction!
