In the darkness of the midnight, when all the earth is still
And I'm still awake (thinking of the love in my Savior's will,
The way He wants to protect us from the evil), it's so very nice
To know He loves us so much; Makes me want to heed His advice.
After I think and talk with Him for awhile, the darkness seems to fade
away.
Seems the stars are shining brightly, going to be a lovely day.
If we walk in His footsteps. Stay closely in His word,
He will tell us the sweetest story which men have ever heard.
In the twinkling of the twilight, when it's very close to dawn;
Listening to the singing of the birds, watching the little puppies yawn
. .
Seems we'd want to know our Master, how He died for our sin;
Happy in Jesus, knowing we'll never have to be in darkness again.
Last night the moon was full to bursting, looking down on me.
I just thought, "Old moon, one day, look up 'cause it's with my Savior I'll be.
Resting in His Kingdom, filled with His Holy Spirit galore . . .
And though I love seeing you up there, you can't look down on me
anymore.
That's my Savior's promise. All Heavenly light will come from Him.
If I should look down on thee old moon, you'd look mighty dim.
So I believe Ill just hang out with Jesus, Go with Him all the way . . .
So there will be no more mid-night darkness, but brightness every day.
