I recently heard about a preacher staying at a hotel while traveling. He went
down to the hot tub to relax alone in the quiet. A large man (who looked like a
wrestler) came out of the sauna and jumped into the hot tub with him. His quiet
disturbed, the preacher started to get out to leave. The large man asked him,
"Sir, do you know who Jesus is?"
Surprised, the preacher turned around and sat back down. "Yes, I sure do." The
large man smiled from ear to ear and said, "Good. I just didn't want to let an
opportunity pass without telling someone about Jesus." They sat and talked for
quite awhile before parting. But the preacher realized that this man (who turned
out to be trucker) was more willing to take a risk and talk to a stranger about
Jesus than he was.
Change is not a fun thing to me. I'm one of these that would rather see things
stay the same. But I am seeing that change can be an opportunity for good if we
will pay attention and listen to whispers from God. I'm listening God.
