A Christmas Miracle

A Christmas Miracle

I am excited to share this with you.  I have stood on this verse long before I even got sick.  Many a time, there were things I needed/wanted but thought they were too trivial to even bother God with.  God thought otherwise, and gave them to me "each time."  Even had them delivered to me and put in my hand!  Whenever I felt sad, some stranger, or a child would say something to comfort me.

Today, the unpredictable happened.  There was a long line at the cashier's on JFK at Journal Square, Jersey.  A beautiful slim black woman stood behind me with her cart packed sky high with goods.  I was shopping with a basket in my walker.  She was looking around for a cashier she could go to, and was about to move to another aisle.  Since I was not in a hurry, I told her "Go ahead."

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yes." I smiled back at her.

Anyway, after her, another black lady bent with a cane saw the woman go through and asked as well, "May I?"

"Yes," I said again and moved to allow her to hobble past.

Finally , I got to the cashier.  When I arrived there, standing by her was the tall beautiful lady.  After the cashier tallied my purchases and said, "$28.90", I bent down to get money from my purse.

"No," the cashier stated. "It's been paid for."

I looked up and the tall black lady smiled. "That's nothing. You deserve it." Then she hugged me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Oh," I said, "you're going to make me cry. No one has done anything this nice before."

To this the cashier scolded, "Don't cry! They'll think I did something to you!"

Before I knew it, the beautiful lady melted away. How could she vanish so fast with her cartful of groceries?

God touches us in ways we cannot fathom.  We only need to believe.
