The Ideal Weapon: God's Armament, Part 5

The Ideal Weapon: God's Armament, Part 5

The ideal weapon, the one that doesn't kill!

"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons to demolish strongholds." (2 Corinthians 10:4 NIV)

The weapons of the earth are all about killing. If you don't agree, just watch the news, or anything else on TV for that matter! The weapons of this world have one end result: Death!

God's armament is completely different. He is a God of love, not death. Therefore, He armament is there, not to kill our opponent, but to liberate us all from the clutches of the evil one: "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." (2 Corinthians: 5 NIV)

Let's take a look at drugs. It is true that drugs are not considered weapons, but drugs do kill. People are continually imprisoned by chemical addictions, and frequent overdoses often result in death. What shocks me is that some types of drugs are becoming legal in many parts of the world!

While the world legalizes drugs, and legal or not, with so many developing these chemical dependencies, God is there, not to imprison, but to liberate people from their addictions. His weapons do not enslave, they tear down walls!

Which would you prefer? The addictions of the world? Or God's liberty? Remember, the weapons of this world will not save us. Only Jesus saves. Once you get to know Him, you will fee His genuine love.

We invite you to join us on Friday for God's Armament, Part 6.
