Happy Birthday, Jesus
This is when I celebrate
the birth of my dear Savior
Is He happy with the way I celebrate his birthday?
My attitude
as I stood in the check out line
The way my heart pumped as the lady took the parking place
That I had waited so patiently for
Did it make
him happy that I bought a bicycle for one of his children
Or was it selfish for me to share that I gave this gift
Let it be for the love I have for you,that I give what I do
Happy Birthday Jesus for
giving your life for me
For the day that you suffered upon that old tree
I thank you Jesus for
coming into this world to set me free
Thinking of your
birthday and the things that I am thankful for
It is YOU dear Jesus that has brought me here
To the home that I share with my family so dear
For the
spouse that you gave me many years ago
There are not enough praises I can send your way
Today I
pray that it is Christ that I remember
More than the presents and cards that I give
I love you
my Savior, my father, my friend for coming
Into this world to save a mere sinner such as I
As I pray that to keep Christ in Christmas on your birthday
